at the House Of Blues new orleans ,LA here it is, i wanted this poster to make a connection to the true 70's horror era. Something i think Rob has perfectly done in his two films "House of 100 corpses" and "the devils rejects". This posters is a tribute to those films. poster is designed to look like an add on the backs of a cult SKYWALD horror magazine such as Nightmare,scream or psycho. to me these zines where some of the best out there but under-rated, they where much better than the warren creepy and eerie zines. I illustrated a Portrait of Rob as a classic Horror Host using Characters from the films ALL Illustrated with a 0.1 and 0.3 pen in pen and ink. it took me almost 48 hours of drawing time to complete this one before i got it to the poster design part. All and All rob is showing the world what the 70's films were like, something this new generation knows nothing about. all they know is gore, special effects with computers and horrible actors and one liners. a great storyline does not exist to them. UPDATE after Hurricane Katrina, the water stained effects i did on the poster along with the date of the poster (the same day the hurricane hit) is a very wierd coincidence.
