This is the first poster ever (not flyer). This poster was a loud and obnoxious one. It was done for a show at jimmy's here in New Orleans,LA for Sugarsmack and local industrial act Killing Ground. Sugarsmack was a great 4 piece band out of Charlotte ,NC with a female singer that put the riot girl into music way before no doubt did. This poster was made for promting the band for Invisible records that year. A friend of mine Brad H. and i both worked for invisble records out of chicago in the early 90's. We both were reps who would help the labels bands promote there shows and records to record stores. He use to run a silk screen business printing t-shirts etc. He printed a poster for a show in Atlanta,GA.Seeing the poster. It did not have many of graphics, just a pic of the band. I felt that my artistic talent could help them out that way here. By this time i have already Painted 2 backdrops for them for there road shows. So with the use of the silk screen skills i learned from high school and myself i went ahead and persued this poster. I spoke to Brad in atlanta a little about how to print a poster , but he did not

expect to to print what i was going to print. his poster was a 1 color on a rainbow colored card stock. Mine would be a 7 color disaster. The poster got printed by me with use of oil based colors and no registration marks. When all was done the poster actually can out alright. The poster features a playful image of a gopher stealing a golfers ball before it goes into the hole. This image to me suited the bands energy and likness. The poster measured 13 X20 inches, only 175 were made. This poster is extremely RARE. I own one copy of it.

Killing Ground that night was the opening band. they were an industrial ,skinny puppy, heavy like band. Since it was a show on invisible that i was putting on and must of the people there i knew i had them play to try and help them out. MAin members Tony thibault( computers /keys) and Josh Eustis (keys) both were very serious. Presently the band does not exist but tony and josh are doing some really cool things. Tony works in california at MUSE 3-D designing software and videogames. Josh on the other hand is still working with music. His new project " TELEFONE TEL AVIV" will debut there first cd on Chicago's hefty records fronted by John Huges III. Josh and Danny Lohner from NIN Have both collaborated producing remixes for NIN and Perfect Circle.
